Above all else, the pastor is a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and is His representative to the Church and to the world. It is expected that this person will exhibit a mature and outgoing faith in Jesus Christ and is an effective preacher who has a mastery of the Word of God.
At Grace Point the pastor will be a permanent member of the board of overseers and thus must fully meet the qualifications of an overseer found in 1 Timothy. Additionally, our pastor should be able to preach highly uplifting, joyful, educational sermons which challenge the body to spiritual growth.
