Part-Time Worship Leader/Pastor Legacy church is small but relaunching. There is lots of opportunity for growth and development. Under the direction and oversight of the lead pastor, lead worship at Legacy Church and if hired as Worship Pastor you will be part of the teaching team and have the opportunity to preach regularly. Develop a sustained culture of worship. Recruit, train, and mentor worship team members. Actively participate as a member of the Leadership Staff Team. RESPONSIBILITIES: Creative Planning w/Lead Pastor Developing the Worship Team Recruit and build vocal and instrumental teams and secondary teams Invest in the development of vocal and instrumental musicians Work personally with existing, and developing musicians to "raise the bar" Leading worship on Sunday morning services and other special events Provide spiritual leadership for the worship team (devotionals, shepherding team members, teaching them about worship from a biblical viewpoint) Communicate well with all musicians in all aspects of the worship ministry Spiritually lead the congregation in the purposes and meaning of worship Directing Tech Team Invest in the development of each of these team leaders WORSHIP LEADER EXPECTATIONS: These are attitudinal expectations in which we don't expect perfection, but progress. The Qualities of an Elder are also expected in this position – 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1 Have a great time serving God and the congregation in this position! QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 3 years as a Christian. Experience – minimum 2 years' experience leading worship Proficient in an instrument (guitar or piano/keyboard) with the ability to lead while playing Team size led: 3 to 6 member teams Team builder: able to discover and develop teams for: vocals, instrumentals, audio tech Highly organized
