POSITION
Full-Time Director of Media Ministries
REPORTS TO
Craig Biondi, Pastor for Worship
ABOUT NEW HANOVER UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
We are an evangelical, growing church of about a thousand members in attendance, in the western Philadelphia suburbs. We hold 4 services: Saturday night at 5:00, and Sunday at 8:00, 9:00 and 10:30. Our worship style is contemporary and always evolving according the needs of the congregation. We have sophisticated sound and lighting systems, and produce a variety of visual media for our services.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This position reports to, and works in close partnership with the Pastor for Worship, providing vision and leadership pertaining to all aspects of media. Responsibilities of the position:
-Prepare all visual media for worship services, including song slides, sermon notes, announcements, videos, etc.
-Schedule and_noemailmunicate with media team volunteers, ensuring that all services are fully staffed
-Regularly recruit and train new media volunteers
-Design and oversee video projects
-Care for sanctuary and chapel stage areas
-Support periodic special events (e.g., Vacation Bible School, weddings & funerals, special gatherings)
EXPECTATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS
-Demonstrate a mature (or maturing) Christian faith
-Have a love of Jesus that is evident when working with volunteers and fellow staff
-Be proficient on all church media equipment, or able and willing to learn
-Be familiar with creative design programs (e.g., Motion, Final Cut, Photoshop), or able and willing learn
-Demonstrate creativity and initiative in all areas (sound, lighting, stage design, video, etc.)
-Possess solid_noemailanization and_noemailmunication skills
-Have the ability to work independently and on task
-Demonstrate an intellectual curiosity regarding all things technical and worship-related
