Communications Assistant for Live Stream Engagement

Who We Are: Good Shepherd is a vibrant, growing parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Lexington, KY. We are committed to spreading the love of God in word and deed. Our parish theme is Love is all, and our aim is to live out the love-ethic of Jesus as presented in the Sermon on the Mount. We have meaningful, traditional worship, a deep contemplative prayer life, an enthusiastic community, beautiful music, active outreach programs, and robust formation offerings for all ages. Our Average Sunday Attendance is about 350 per week. We have 1000+ members and we are located near downtown Lexington on Main Street. You will develop and ensure the highest possible quality live stream engagement. You value excellence, humility, curiosity, and personal and spiritual growth.

Primary responsibilities: The Comms Assistant for Live Streaming Engagement will oversee the weekly technical and production aspects of live streaming for the parish. This includes video editing and posting on the parish YouTube channel, camera set ups, testing, social links, and preparation of overlays and graphics. You will invite persons of all ages to join you in these efforts by equipping, empowering, and enabling them to do the work of ministry. You will build teams. Central to the role is to create and follow a live streaming core process by which all aspects of livestreaming engagement may be channeled and systematically launched and quality control maintained.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Type of Commitment: Part Time (10 hours/wk)
