Westminster Presbyterian Church (WPC), in beautiful Westlake Village, California, has a rare opportunity for an exceptional person as Director of Student Ministries. WPC is a vibrant, thriving, disciple-making 1200 member suburban_noemailmunity in Southern California just west of Los Angeles, with a long history of excellence in student ministry. We are seeking a dynamic individual to assume leadership of an extremely active student ministry program that includes weekly Senior High Fellowship gatherings, Sunday school, Confirmation classes, retreats, off-campus mission trips, worship services, and more. The successful candidate will be supported by a dedicated Student Ministries Committee, an Associate Director of Student Ministries (primarily responsible for junior high activities), a full time Administrative Assistant, and a team of skilled and experienced volunteer advisors. Our youth represent seven local high schools and are known for their service in our_noemailmunity and in their direct involvement with missions. Responsibilities include the development, implementation and oversight of all spiritual formation, mission and outreach opportunities for junior and senior high students. Working with other young adults (such as college students) is optional but encouraged. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and three years of experience as the lead in a large student ministry is required; a Master's Degree in ministry / theology is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will exude leadership, enthusiasm for youth and for the Christian faith, high energy, a spirit of collaboration, and excellent_noemailmunication skills, including the use of social media.
