Job Description:
JOB TITLE: After-school Program Teacher
AREA SERVED: K to 5th grade and families
SUPERVISOR: This person will report to the Director of Children's Ministry and Club T3 under the direct supervision of the Pastor and the Elder of Children and Family Ministries
JOB TYPE: Part-time 15 hours/week during the school year (Approximately August 24- June 10)
DEFINITION OF POSITION: An individual employed by Lifepath Church who is responsible for coordinating and implementing a developmentally appropriate after school program.
JOB GOAL: This position will assist the Director of Children's Ministry and Outreach in implementing the day-to-day functions of the after-school program.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the development of goals and objectives for the program which align with the overall strategy of the church
Assess the needs of the program, effectiveness of its programs and the climate of the members with children involved in the ministry
Serve as a support to the Director of Children's Ministry and Club T3 and program volunteer staff- offering motivation, training, encouragement and guidance as needed
Facilitate meetings, as needed, between volunteers and program staff
Assist in development of the annual calendar of activities
Recruit and train volunteers to serve in the program
Pray continually for the ministry
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum two years of college with 18 credits in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or related field and two years direct experience with children under age 13 or Minimum two years in college in unrelated field, but two years, or more, experience in a children's educational setting. Prefer at least one year in a supervisory capacity. Experience working with children and families in an educational environment and experience organizing and implementing curriculum and children's programming required. Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills are required.
