Job Description:
Ministerial Expectations:
Commit to a daily time of prayer and Bible study.
Set appropriate boundaries with time and relationships to protect character and integrity.
Develop personal evangelism opportunities outside the church.
Participate in intentional discipleship relationships within the church.
Financially support the ministries of FBCS by giving faithfully.
Encourage spiritual nurturing, encourage authentic_noemailmunity and unity within the church, and facilitate other strategic ministry emphases.
Position Vision: To serve as a vital team leader and member of the Ministerial Staff to further the cause of Christ at FBCS by creating an environment for the development and promotion of a_noemailprehensive program of faith education for children, birth through the fifth grade. Primary ministerial role will be to oversee all aspects of the Children's ministry.
Useful Skills/Qualities: A passion for children, verbal and written_noemailmunication, people management, passion for missions,_noemailanizational, knowledge of current education methodologies, and a relational disposition.
Core Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain focus on the vision and strategic direction of the church.
Develop and implement a Christian education strategy for the Children's ministry that supports the overall church vision with the Discipleship & Outreach Pastor.
Recruit, train, shepherd and care for ministry leaders.
Oversee, develop, manage, train, and evaluate Engage Groups, weekly small groups, and outreach within the Children's ministry.
Meet regularly with the Discipleship & Outreach and Youth Pastor to develop strategies for reaching new families.
Keep informed on current education materials, promotion, administration and utilizing them where appropriate.
Assimilation, Shepherding, and Ministerial Care:
Determine and develop an assimilation strategy with Discipleship & Outreach Pastor.
Recruit, train,_noemailmunicate, and implement the assimilation strategy to ministry leaders.
Participate in shepherding and care of congregation members.
Participate in general ministerial duties as needed.
Administrative:
Develop and coordinate the church calendar with senior pastor, pastoral and ministerial staff, support staff, and ministry leaders.
Meet regularly with ministerial team to address strategy and ministry care.
Manage appropriate children's ministry budget lines.
Manage workload appropriately and professionally.
Execute other duties as assigned by Senior Pastor.
Compensation:
Wages: The pay rate is to be determined by the Pastoral Needs Ministry Team.
Other: Holidays, vacation, and mission trips are to be coordinated with the supervising pastor.

Preferred College, Seminary, Master's or Bachelor's degree (Divinity, Bible, Theology, Leadership, etc.)
Preferred 3 years of experience in ministry leadership.

A born-again believer in Jesus Christ.
