Job Description:
The Audio Lighting Technician is responsible for the creation of the lighting design for productions, by collaborating with current creative and technical personnel. This person also handles maintenance of current lighting equipment at all of the_noemailanizations sites and provides sound reinforcement for smaller church events as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Attend all rehearsals and production meetings
-Create the following documents, in order, to_noemailmunicate the design to all members of the production team:
Visual research: emotional, color, period and lighting; Design concept
Scene analysis; Ground Plan with acting areas marked; Cue synopsis
-Maintain open_noemailmunication with all members of production team
-Coordinate with Projection and Television to create lighting schemes that are cohesive with current broadcast video production
-Operate lighting consoles or supervise lighting console operators during services to ensure problem-free presentations
-Training of lighting volunteers on operation and maintenance of current lighting equipment
-Aid in the selection and evaluation of new and used lighting equipment
-Maintain inventory of light bulbs, gels, gobos, and other lighting accessories
-Fulfill other duties as assigned including providing sound reinforcement for smaller church events (i.e. bible studies, funerals, weddings, etc.)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
-Bachelor's degree in Theatre, Communications, Media, Film/video or at least four years previous experience in related field
-Ability to operate Grand MA, Road Hog, Strand, or ETC lighting consoles
-Ability to troubleshoot electronic equipment
-Prior experience in the church production environment preferred
-Able to lift 50 pounds
-Computer literate
-Must be able to provide excellence under pressure
