First Baptist Church is taking applications for the 20 hr/wk position of College and Single Adults Ministry Associate. The person in this ministry area will work with a wide spectrum of adults—including college students, younger people beginning a career, those who have divorced, people who have b_noemaile widowed, and those who have_noemailmitted to remaining unmarried—to lead them in spiritual formation as disciples of Jesus Christ and to provide pastoral care. The position also involves ministry programming and ministry event planning, as well as the opportunity to help many college students in San Antonio find a church family.
TITLE: College and Single Adults Ministry Associate
SUMMARY:
The College and Single Adults Ministry Associate will assist the Associate Pastor for Single Adults Ministry in leading college students and single adults to live as disciples of Jesus Christ building a_noemailmunity of faith and friendship.
EXPECTATIONS:
Work under the direction of the AP for Single Adults Ministry
Lead college students and single adults in spiritual formation as disciples of Jesus Christ
Provide pastoral care for college students and single adults
Represent the Lord and First Baptist Church
20 Hours/Week
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with AP for Single Adults Ministry on programming and direction
Plan and implement college student and single adults outreach strategy
Provide supervision to College Sunday School Director and Single Adults Sunday School Director
Program and lead ministry events
Carry out further ministry directives as deemed necessary by the AP for Single Adults Ministry
QUALIFICATIONS:
Young adult ministry/college/youth ministry leadership experience in the local church
Seminary training valued
