Overview
The Connections Pastor (CP) is a highly relational leader who loves God above all else, inspires others to follow Jesus day-by-day, and connects people to the mission and work of the church. The CP leads the ministry and strategies that facilitate connection and ongoing discipleship of visitors and partners of Branch Church. The CP is a prominent pastoral presence in the Branch Church_noemailmunity, primarily helping people take their next step of engagement and growth. The CP oversees Branch Church's connection pathways and facilitates the regular gatherings and events that lead individuals along those pathways, particularly into serving and discipleship roles.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the discipleship ministries, strategies, timelines, and events of Branch Church, including_noemailmunity groups, discipleship program, men's and women's ministries, and assimilation and next steps
- Lead, develop, inspire, and empower volunteers and potential volunteers and assist them in getting plugged into the ministries that align with their gifting
- Lead the connection pathways that help an individual grow from first-time visitor to fully engaged partner at Branch Church
- Lead our Hospitality Team in fostering environments of connection and belonging and provide ongoing direction and training for volunteers
- Develop and facilitate regular "next step" gatherings that provide a clear understanding of the_noemailmunity life of Branch Church
- Serve as the primary staff lead on our connection and engagement events
- Respond to strategic opportunities to develop and implement new connection and engagement strategies and events
- Provide leadership and support in the Care ministries of Branch Church, including counseling, visitation, and officiating weddings and funerals
- Preach and teach at Sunday services as directed by the Lead Pastor

- Committed follower of Jesus living a bold and growing faith that points others to Christ
- Passion and love for the local church with a desire to see the body of Christ grow, mature, and fulfill the Great Commission
- Deep and growing knowledge of God's Word and its application to everyday life
- Highly relational and pastoral abilities that spur connection and care
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, equip, and mobilize high-capacity leaders and volunteers
- Effective systems development and management
- Excellent work ethic and_noemailanization and execution of priorities and responsibilities
- Discernment of people's gifts and abilities
- Demonstrated ability to inspire_noemailmitment, engagement, and follow-through
- Creative, clear, and effective_noemailmunication abilities, both written and verbal
- Ability to effectively engage and teach large groups in a variety of public speaking formats such as preaching, teaching, presentation, and training
