Job Description
Charlestown United Protestant Church is looking for a God-called Christian Senior Pastor who can lead our church with conviction, vision, and humility.
The position of Senior Pastor includes:
Preach, plan and lead Sunday morning worship service.
Lead an abbreviated Sunday morning worship service to residents in a skilled nursing facility.
Lead a monthly worship service to residents in an assisted living facility.
Visitation to area hospitals and members in independent living.
Conduct funeral services for members and residents when requested.

Job Qualifications
An ideal candidate will have experience:
Preaching and Teaching
Performing Rites and Holding Services
Overseeing Administrative Functions of the Church
Meet with Vestry to discuss finances and other business of the church.

We are looking for a Senior Pastor who believes the Bible is God inspired, especially as stated in 1 Timothy 3: 1-7, Titus 1: 5-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-4,

Additional qualifications include:
A clear call to church ministry.
A desire to see God glorified in worship.
Ability to lead corporate worship.
Be a biblically faithful teacher who can relate to people.
Evidence of a Spirit-filled life of prayer and adherence to God's Word.

List of Educational Qualifications
We are seeking a Senior Pastor who has graduated from an accredited [Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada] seminary holds orders through a recognized denomination to minister to an active population from various backgrounds.
Experience
Preferred 3-5 years of ministry and life experience.
Administrator to Church staff and office personnel.
Experience in counseling to senior members of the congregation.
Good communication skills.
Salary Range/Benefits
The Senior Pastor salary will be discussed during the interview process and will depend on the applicant's experience and education.
