Job Description:
The Park Avenue Contemporary Worship Leader will work with the Senior Pastor and others to fulfill the vision and culture of contemporary worship at Park Avenue Church. The Worship Leader will be expected to provide leadership and direction of the contemporary worship service and other special events. Additionally, he or she will work to ensure a cohesive vision and direction for these services, and occasionally, assist in combined (traditional & contemporary) One Church services held quarterly at Park Avenue Church.
Our contemporary worship service continues to grow because of the diverse style and multi-generational context, while incorporating traditional elements of worship with prayers, creeds, etc. The Worship Leader will work with others to plan and lead this worship service, and other worship environments at Park Avenue and must be able to lead people and teams effectively.

About Park Ave Church:
Park Ave Church began its rich history in the 1954 as a United Methodist Church. We are currently under the Global Methodist church leadership. We are located in Valdosta Ga..We are also very excited about construction currently taking place for a new 750 seat contemporary worship space as well as new youth facilities. This should all be through during the spring of 2024.
Job Qualifications:
1. A strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to Christian principles.
2. An understanding and affirmation of traditional orthodox Wesleyan (Methodist) doctrine and theology.
3. A two-year degree in music or related field preferred or relative experience of 3 to 5 years.
4. A servant leader who will sacrificially assist other team members.
5. Someone who is humble, teachable, and relational.
6. A person who places people over programs, relationships over requirements. They demonstrate a heart for all people, especially those who are part of the worship/tech teams.
7. Someone who brings their best in all areas of their life.
8. Someone who loves having fun.
9. Familiar with Ableton, or other similar multitrack audio software programs, and comfortable using these in worship.
10. Proficiency in leading worship teams/bands with excellence.
11. Strong vocal gifting.
12. Adaptability and flexibility both in the planning process as well as in the moment of worship.
