Job Description:
The Director of Children's Ministry at Cook's UMC must be actively growing in her/his discipleship of Jesus and be able to articulate their faith in Christ with confidence. The Director's position is a full-time position that will require consistent presence and availability to the church and to our community. Our Children's Ministry Director will be responsible for building and leading a ministry that offers a safe environment to families, in which children can grow in body, mind, and Spirit. You will be responsible for short term and long range planning that respects and works well alongside the ministry efforts of other age groups and that pursues appropriate growth goals for each age group, even each child. The Director will be responsible for securing curriculum, training/overseeing leadership, designing and implementing special events that help invite children to a life of discipleship in Jesus.

Job Qualifications:
Experience in children's ministry
Experience in leadership within church ministry or parachurch ministry
Educational experience in child development and/or Christian Education preferred, but not necessary
Live close, if not within, the Mt. Juliet community.
