POSITION OVERVIEW
The purpose of this position is to lead and coordinate all aspects of ministry to children and families, reflecting the dynamic ministry of PLC. This position has a vast array of oversight, coordination, and responsibility within the congregation, including Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and Faith Formation Workshops. This position will work in collaboration with the Family Ministry staff team to integrate Children's Ministry, Middle School Ministry, and High School Ministry. It is expected that this person will be an excellent developer of volunteer teams and people to help execute the deliverables of the position requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Direct, recruit, promote, and coordinate all aspects of Sunday School, including training and equipping volunteers, evaluating, and providing curriculum, and managing financial/physical resources.
2. Direct, recruit, promote, and coordinate all aspects of Vacation Bible School (VBS), including training and equipping volunteers, evaluating and providing curriculum, and managing financial/physical resources.
3. Direct and implement all aspects of Faith Formation Workshops, providing curriculum, and managing financial/physical resources.
4. Direct, recruit, promote, and coordinate PLC's Sunday Morning Nursery Ministry including training and equipping paid and volunteer caregivers, and managing financial/physical resources.
5. Work in collaboration with the Family Ministry staff team to integrate Children's Ministry, Middle School Ministry, and High School Ministry.
6. Work in collaboration with the Director of Peñasquitos Christian Preschool to welcome and integrate preschool families into PLC's Children and Family ministries.
7. Provide resources to parents and families as they endeavor to bring their child up in the Christian Faith.
8. Assist in the accurate maintenance of church records especially as it relates to baptism, first communion, confirmation, and participation in Children and Family Ministries.
9. Other duties as assigned by the supervising pastor.

TIME
