Job Description:
The Bellevue (WA) Christian Reformed Church awaits the arrival of a full-time Family Ministry Director who will have the privilege of directing the congregation's effort to disciple the children and youth of the church and community. Specifically, the Family Ministry Director will have direct oversight of Children's and Youth Ministry. The Director will function much like the principal of a school in that he or she will make the plan, plus recruit and train volunteers to implement the plan.
The ideal candidate for this role is a committed follower of Jesus who aligns with the mission, vision and values of the congregation. He or she is also committed to building teams and empowering others to participate in mission and ministry.
The competencies of the ideal candidate include recruiting and training volunteers, team building, administration, and leadership.
