Operations:
Develop and implement an end-to-end process from welcoming, check-in, to parent pick-up using Planning Center online tools and apps.
Implement signage to welcome families, direct to families to family parking, family entrance, and check-in.
Set policies and procedures for children's ministry.
Assist with the maintenance and scheduling of church facilities for Children's ministry.
Conduct systematic and periodic safety and cleanliness inspections of all spaces and
equipment.
Evaluate age-appropriate program materials, equipment, supplies, and space for children' ministry.
Create a safe, positive, nurturing and age-appropriate learning environment for every child. In coordination with the administrative staff, help facilitate the safety process (applications, background checks, etc.) for the recruitment of leaders and volunteers.
Lead in the evaluation of the Family Discipleship Ministry on an annual basis with all family discipleship ministry leaders and senior church staff.
Along with the Lead Pastor, provide leadership and shepherding for children's ministry leaders and volunteers.
Communications:
In partnership with the Lead Pastor develop communication tools for parents and families, recruit others to help with communication tasks, i.e., flyers, announcements, etc....
Communicate and schedule volunteers in coordination for Sunday nursery, programs, and events.
Keep all families and volunteers informed of the Family Discipleship Ministry.
Engage and communicate with families through a variety of ways, i.e., email, text, phone, FB, Smartphone app, and in-person.
Serve as the main equipping leader for parents and home discipleship.
Team Building:
Lead and meet regularly with family discipleship ministry leaders and volunteers.
Build process and culture to welcome staff, welcome new families, and parent orientation.
Work with the Lead Pastor and other staff to conduct and/or plan training opportunities for Family Discipleship ministry leaders and volunteers.
Partner with parents in the ongoing task of raising children to know and become more like Jesus.
In coordination with Lead Pastor and church staff determine family discipleship ministry team roles, descriptions, etc....
Actively recruit team members to fulfill roles.
