Kids Ministry Director
Job Description:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
DISCIPLESHIP & LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
- Developing and leading the Kids Ministry staff team to live out the nine FBC Core Values to the church body and the Branson_noemailmunity
- Guiding the Kids Ministry staff team to develop and lead a Sunday morning and Wednesday evening volunteer team of adults and teens in a way that provides volunteers and parents engaging, creative, and developmentally appropriate tools to disciple the children of FBC
- Providing needed opportunities for spiritual and leadership development for staff and volunteer team
- Working with the Kids Ministry staff team to provide needed training to maintain a safe and secure environment for children
- Leading a Kids Ministry We_noemaile team to create an outward facing environment in Kids Ministry
VISION CASTING and MINISTRY DEVELOPMENT
- Working with Kids Ministry staff team to align ministry of Nursery, Preschool and Elementary with the span of the FBC Next Generation ministries
- Leading the Kids staff team in developing and_noemailmunicating yearly goals and vision for FBC Kids Ministry
- Guiding the Kids staff team in curriculum selection and implementation
VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT and TRAINING
Creating strategic plans for regular volunteer recruitment
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintaining a ministry that has prayer and relationship building as a foundation
- Shepherding families through weekly emails and intentional conversation
- Designing and maintaining a facility that is safe, secure, and inviting to families
- Attending FBC Branson weekly staff meetings, yearly retreat, and other called staff meetings
- Developing relationships with other churches and child serving_noemailanizations in the_noemailmunity to maintain an outward facing attitude in ministry focused on being a part of a redemptive movement

Qualifications:
The director should be gospel-centered, team-oriented, an equipper of leaders, able to provide administrative oversight, and eager to invest in team members.
- Growing relationship as a disciple of Jesus Christ
- Strengths in areas such as faith, discernment, encouragement and shepherding
- A deep knowledge of theological truths that align with FBC Branson beliefs and core values
- Proven record of skills including leadership development, relationship building, data-driven goal setting, and process development and implementation
- Knowledge of child development from birth to preteen age
- Communication skills that result in deep relationship with a team members
- Experience working on church staff leading a team is preferred
- Attitude that views obstacles as opportunities to rely on God’s faithfulness
- Ability to maintain a calm confidence in God’s faithfulness in stressful situations
