Primary Responsibilities
Lead Weekend Services: In collaboration with the team the RPK Director is responsible for creating a great birth through fifth grade weekend experience for kids that is aligned with Rocky Peak's values and is fun.
Build A Gifted Team: The RPK Director is responsible for building, leading, and coaching a team of "A" level staff and volunteer players who live out both our church's values and our staff culture.
Recruit Volunteers: The RPK Director is responsible for designing and implementing effective recruiting strategies that are consistant for all areas of the Ministry.
Oversee the whole of RPK's Family experience: The RPK Director's team is responsible for creating great family experiences throughout all RPK events including VBS, camps, baptisms, classes, baby dedication, as well as helping to partner with, engage, and equip parents to be their child's primary spiritual guidance.
Primary Outcomes
To build, lead, and coach a staff team of "A" players in a structure that is intuitive and effective for overseeing regular weekend ministry programs and environments, online engagement and tools, and occasional events.
To create a great weekend experience where kids love coming to church and are learning how to follow Christ. We want them to learn how to pursue God, love people, serve sacrificially, and share Christ – in age-appropriate ways.
To ensure that every RPK environment has high-quality programming that is Word-centered, engaging, relational, relevant, and fun.
To develop effective recruitment strategies so that each ministry is fully staffed with gifted volunteers who are growing in their own lives, share our vision and values, and connect well with kids, volunteers, staff, and parents.
To create a culture of commitment in kids ministry where volunteers are passionate, equipped, prepared, and care deeply about the ministry.
To ensure that each staff member knows their role, why it's important, what their specific outcomes are, and is equipped and held accountable to focus and execute on them.
To create an annual budget in conjunction with our Finance department that reflects the strategic priorities of this ministry and to make sure we stay on track throughout the year.
To develop a dashboard of key performance indicators by being in touch with relevant strategies for each age group and their families that can measure our effectiveness and inform our future development.
To provide effective leadership (counseling, conflict management, prayer, etc.) for the RPK Team, the volunteers, and parents.
