Purpose of the Job:
To operate and upkeep the broadcast video system at abundant and serve as the director of live video experiences system-wide.
To manage, oversee, train, and develop abundant's video staff and volunteer teams system-wide.
Manage and oversee the operation of all video production equipment in distributed systems at s
Experience and Knowledge Required:
Two (2) years experience in video production or broadcast environment
Basic understanding of audio, video, and lighting systems, equipment, and concepts
Intermediate Mac and PC proficiency
Familiarity with ProPresenter, Video editing software, Broadcast switchers, and various projector control interfaces preferred but not required
Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
Relational and team-building skills required
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Serve as primary video director for services at abundant East, including attending and running rehearsals, instructing camera operators, and attending pre-service meetings
Serve as the primary point of contact for installation and upkeep of camera systems at distributed campuses system-wide
Oversee the development and implementation of training benchmarks and protocols for camera operators, shaders, and live video directors at all campuses system-wide
Travel to other campuses as needed to provide quality control, feedback, instruction, and coaching in the execution of video directing and camera operation
Assist with management of production video systems and equipment at abundant, including:
Troubleshooting, cleaning and maintaining equipment & projectors
Coordinating software, hardware, and firmware updates
Assist with loading and testing of video and graphic content for all services in the main auditorium.
Oversee broadcast and camera equipment training for abundant volunteer teams, including developing teaching materials, leading training sessions, and developing volunteer evaluations
Attend weekly Production Infuse training sessions as needed, whether at abundant East or other campuses
Assist in post-production editing and archiving of recorded services and events
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist other abundant departments with production and/or production equipment support
Assist Production Director and staff with weekly tasks or system-wide projects as needed
Assist Lighting Department staff with event or equipment support as needed
Operate production equipment or camera positions as needed during regular weekly services, retreats, conferences, and special events
Assist with production equipment maintenance and installation at other campuses as needed
Participate in church-wide events
Lead or co-lead an abundant Group
Other duties as assigned
