Nevils Crossroads Church located at 8351 Nevils-Groveland Road in Nevils, Georgia is requesting qualifications from experienced ministers who are interested in serving a congregation in a rural community in Bulloch County, Georgia.
Nevils Crossroads Church, formerly Nevils United Methodist Church, disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church in 2023 after ministering to a faithful congregation since 1940. Our Pastor for the last six years has recently accepted a position in another Church.
Nevils Crossroads Church is prepared to provide the preferred applicant for this position with a competitive salary in addition to a three-bedroom, two-bathroom parsonage within a half mile of the Church and Nevils Elementary School.
Our Church Congregation is requesting the following qualifications to fill this position:
A mature pastor with a minimum 5 years of experience serving a congregation of 75 – 100 members in a rural community with a southern lifestyle.
Must preach the gospel, baptize believers, equip disciples and be the leader of our congregation.
Must have good administrative skills, excellent Biblical knowledge and show evidence of growing previous congregations.

Evidence of education and ministerial training and specific experience in the ministry.
Resume and a sample video sermon on a CD or thumb drive.

The applicant selection process will follow the schedule below:
Applications are to be submitted by May 31, 2024.
Interviews with selected applicants will be held during the month of June 2024.
The selection criteria will include:
The applicant's education and training in the ministry.
The applicant's experience in the ministry in a similar Church.
The applicant's satisfactory references from former employers in a similar Church setting.
The applicant's ability to satisfactorily pass a background check.
