Job Description:
This position is responsible to serve alongside the NXTGEN Director & Ministry Leader of High School Ministry to help develop High School Student Ministries in such a way that is both biblical and consistent with the Water of Life philosophy of ministry. The specific role of this Associate Pastor is to assist in matters of student pastoral counseling, teaching, and programing; with an emphasis on service development and production for HSM, paying close attention to the environment created & development of the team overseeing the various areas; will assist in event planning. This is an full-time, exempt position. Some evening and weekend hours are required. Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Studies, Pastoral Ministry or Theology
Demonstrated strategic abilities
Deep knowledge and embodiment in practice of the Scriptures
Ability to recruit, lead, train and supervise volunteers
Excellent oral and written communication skills: proven track record, able to teach
Knowledge of target population: students
Intermediate knowledge of office technology tools including web-based, Facebook, Instagram, MS Office, Publisher and database use
Friendly, flexible, able to multitask, enjoys working with all kinds of people
Able to work flexible hours, be available on evenings and weekends as program requires
Maintain a consistent relationship with God, demonstrate a strong and growing walk with Christ and live a Biblical lifestyle that honors Christ
Be personally committed to the ideals, values and mission of WOL
Be/become a Member at Water of Life and regularly attend its weekend services
