Musical Worship Pastor
This position will oversee musical worship and another area of ministry that suits the gifts of the man called to this position. This includes the Sunday morning worship services, but may also include leading music in other environments or at special services/events. The position will participate in all appropriate staff and worship team meetings, including working with the Lead Pastor in planning worship services.
The Worship Director reports directly to the Lead Pastor.
This position is a full time salaried pastoral position.
WORSHIP MINISTRY RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary purpose of this ministry position is to oversee all worship and musical elements at Trinity. As a pastoral position the Worship Pastor is expected to be a disciple maker. He will invest relationally in others for their spiritual growth, and will develop other worship leaders and musicians in the congregation.
This will involve:
Serving as the primary music leader on Sunday mornings.
Developing a culture of worship at Trinity by helping the body gain an understanding of biblical corporate worship.
Managing the scheduling of musicians, tech teams, and worship leaders for weekend services.
Scheduling and managing band rehearsals and equipment.
Coaching and caring for all worship volunteers.
Identifying, Inviting, and Investing in volunteers and leaders to be a part of the worship ministry.
Serving and supporting the music teams in Trinity's Spanish Language ministry.
ADDITIONAL MINISTRY RESPONSIBILITIES
While this position will be primarily leading worship and mentoring musicians and worship leaders, additional responsibility is necessary at this time. However, this portion of the job description will be developed in conjunction with the hiring of a successful candidate. Trinity desires to have the additional responsibilities match the passions and gifting of the man we hire. Examples of areas of ministry that could be included here are assimilation, outreach, groups, adult education, etc. Occasional preaching may be expected.
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:
-Embody the biblical qualifications of leadership in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
-Maintain God ordained priorities in your life by putting Jesus Christ first,
your spouse second, your children third and the ministry fourth.
-Be loyal to the vision and leadership of Trinity and always protect the unity of the
-Invest and invite the lost to know Jesus and come to Trinity.
Ability to sing/play music and lead others to worship through singing.
Ability to lead teams effectively.
The Musical Worship Pastor's pay will range between $45k-$65k depending upon experience and other qualifications. Sick leave is accrued at 1 hour per 40 hours worked after the first 90 days of employment. Paid personal leave will be 2 weeks for employees who have worked at the church for less than 4 years. There are 7 paid holidays throughout the year as well. Ministry expense, education expense, and cell phone reimbursement will be part of the pastors salary package. Retirement will be matched at a rate of 7.5%. Moving expenses will be provided upon successful hiring of a candidate.
