Mercy Hill Church in Jackson, MO is seeking a full-time worship pastor with a passion for making disciples of the next generation. MHC holds that pastors, elders, and overseers are different Biblical titles to describe the same office. Therefore, any candidate should meet the qualifications of an elder outlined in Titus 1 and 1 Timothy 3. In addition to the Biblical qualifications of an elder, they should be experienced in leading musical worship and understand how to be discipled and disciple others.
Our church was started in 2017. Our current pastor began in March of 2020, right as the COVID quarantines went into place. Since then, by God's grace, we've seen growth as a church as we proclaim the gospel, teach through books of the Bible, and trust the Spirit to work in people's hearts. Our mission statement is: Mercy on mission to make Christ known. Our discipleship process is summed up as: Know Mercy, Grow in Mercy, and Show Mercy. We desire this process to be fleshed out in our youth ministry and worship ministry as well.
