Purpose:
The Pastor of Worship Arts is responsible for the worship ministry at Sunnyslope Christian Center. They oversee, equip, and encourages all vocalists, instrumentalists, audio, video, and visual technician volunteers. They coordinate the worship elements of planning, implementing, evaluating, leading, and resourcing each service with the pastor(s) and other ministries. They are responsible for worship that brings glory to God encourages believers. Their purpose is to offer a creative, blended, multi-generational, God-honoring worship experience.
Primary Strengths Desired:
The Pastor of Worship Arts will hold (or willing to pursue) credentials with the Assemblies of God, have training in the area of music and/or worship with 3-5 years of experience.

integrity, purity, spiritual intensity, and accountability to leadership.
Has evidence of a life that is submitted to the Holy Spirt.

Position Summary – This individual is expected to be an:
Excellent musician with performance and worship leader skills, vocally and instrumentally.
Has skills and experience with audio/visual/lighting.
Demonstrates strength in leadership and team building.
High level of initiative - able to anticipate problems and implement solutions.
Understands the importance of operating in the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.
Actively and consistently recruits, develops, motivates, and manages teams of volunteers.
Overseeing song selection, musical arrangement, chord charts, lyrics, and coordination of all
instrumentalists, vocalists, and others who enhance the worship experience.
Recruiting, auditioning, developing, empowering, scheduling, supervising all worship team members.
Coordinate technical and personnel support for special services, e.g., funerals and weddings.
Supports staff members in other music ministry activities such as music for conferences, senior's
ministry, missions, outreach, and special events.
Attend and participate in all staff meetings.
Providing pastoral care for Worship Arts Teams including technicians.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
Compensation: D.O.E.
Reports to: Senior Pastor and Executive Administrative Pastor
