Time Commitment: Sunday Mornings (approx. 8:30am -- 12:30pm); Weekly rehearsals (currently Wednesday evenings 7pm to 8:30pm), in addition to staff, worship and leadership meetings.

Hours: Approximately 12 to 15 hours a week

Responsibilities

Christ-focused Contemporary praise band leader with a commitment to Christ and to the work of Worship and assisting others in their worship of God; current services are blended services with a combination of contemporary Christian music and "current" versions of some classic Christian hymns
Song selection in coordination with the Pastor and Team members throughout the course of the year, following themes and seasons; including regular communication of upcoming Worship sets with our Band
Regular communication with Pastor and Team for planning and oversight of weekly practices and structure of songs and Worship sets, including scheduling and preparation
Regular review of Worship, including songs, different parts of Worship, themes, and potential events, in conjunction with the Pastor and other Team members
Recruitment of new team participants and assistance in assimilation and support. Scheduling a rotation of musicians as part of the planning process.
Recruitment, scheduling, and support of Special Music participants (as required) during services
Creation of lyrics slides for use by the AV team on Sundays
Oversee the setup and tear-down of equipment for Sunday Worship.

Job Qualifications

Experience in Christian Worship leadership including singing and instrumentals;
Proficiency with an instrument conducive to Worship (guitar or keyboard); in addition, a functional knowledge of other instruments (e.g. bass, drums) a plus
Dependability on a weekly basis for Sunday services and one practice session.
Working knowledge of (or willingness to learn) creation of lyrics slides in Media Shout.
Working knowledge of PA systems, mixing boards, other audio equipment is a plus
Solid organizational skills
