TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Full-Time, 40 hrs/week

Peninsula Bible Church is a non-denominational church with 70 years of history located in the heart of Silicon Valley. We are a multi-generational, diverse community of people with a deep love for the Bible and a desire to help people find and follow Jesus. PBC is currently accepting applications for a Technical Director. This is a full-time position, non-exempt position.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Technical Director (TD) is responsible for the oversight and operation of all audio, video and lighting systems campus-wide. The TD will also recruit, train and develop volunteers to ensure they can operate our current technology in an excellent way.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Projects
This position will contribute to the completion of several projects as time permits. These projects include:
Lead project on for Main Patio, Family Room and Foyer A/V build-out
Fellowship Hall AVL completion
Create + update AVL inventory cross-campus
Create system and guidance for Worship Center usage by outside organizations
Worship Center/FH Security system
2. Audio / Visual / Lighting
Oversee the sound, lighting, and video production for weekend services, mid-week events, and special events.
Develop and implement systems for the production team.
Oversee the installation of audio, video, and lighting upgrades.
Schedule all audio, visual and lighting team volunteers.
Stage set design, implementation, and oversight in cooperation with the Creative Team.
Manage equipment maintenance and inventory of all AVL equipment.
3. Tech Production
Oversee contract production staff and/or vendors.
Recruit, equip, manage and mentor production volunteers.
Detailed weekly setup and preparation for rehearsals and weekend services.
Oversee, optimize and maintain livestream systems for services and events.
Prepare weekly ProPresenter slide deck for weekend services.
Oversee and facilitate technical needs for midweek ministries and special events
Troubleshoot technical issues to minimize distractions in worship services.
Edit and upload sermon to website and/or social media.
4. Campus Technology
Serve as liaison with IT Contractor Liaison (currently V&C).
Internet and phone systems (office, elevator etc.) - liaising with V&C and vendors, troubleshooting, phone set-ups, contracts and payments, etc.
Hardware purchasing & inventory - installation, troubleshooting, and liaising with V&C.
Software and Cloud Applications - oversee and resource staff with MS Office, Email (Gmail), Planning Center, Dropbox, Gmail Groups, etc. Maintain subscriptions
Copiers and printers - supplies, troubleshooting, and liaising with contractor (Swenson).
5. Creative Team
Participate as an active member of the Creative Team.
Cast vision and manage priorities for all technical areas within the church.
Participate in planning and production meetings for services and events.
Nurture a can-do attitude modeling excellent service-oriented leadership.
Reports to: Worship & Creative Arts Pastor
HOURS & SALARY
Full-time, 40 hours/week
ANTICIPATED TIME COMMITMENTS
Monday - Thursday: 8am to 4pm (flexible hours possible during the week)
Sunday: 6am - 12:30pm
All major events (this includes some evenings and weekends)
Compensation: $90k-$100k per year
