Job Description: Serve as both Worship Director & Youth Director
WORSHIP DIRECTOR:
I. Plan Sunday Worship Service
A. Must have strong musical and singing skills (piano training preferred).
B. Passion to lead people closer to Christ via music.
C. Organize the worship service under the direction of the Senior Pastor.
D. Oversee and schedule special music and choir.
E. Select congregational praise and worship music.
F. Coordinate the visual atmosphere of the worship center.
G. Plan and oversee holiday and outreach services.
II. Direct Worship Team
A. Recruit, select, and train musicians, sound and media technicians.
B. Schedule worship team members for rehearsals and weekend services.
C. Prepare song list and music for all team members.
D. Prepare and_noemailanize visual media for song lyrics
E. Stay current with new worship music and styles.
F. Oversee equipment setup and tear down.
G. Oversee equipment purchasing, repair and maintenance.
H. Integrate youth in the Sunday service.
YOUTH DIRECTOR:
I. Priorities
A. Align youth ministry with children and adult ministries.
B. Offer activities involving parents and youth together.
C. Encourage youth to attend the Sunday service.
D. Create in youth a hunger for God and His Word.
E. Encourage youth to serve in the home, church and_noemailmunity.
F. Prepare youth for adulthood by giving them a biblical world view.
G. Teach youth a biblical view of sexuality and marriage.
H. Encourage church membership to students 16 and older.
I. Encourage youth to stay connected with a church once they graduate.
II. Responsibilities
A. Plan and direct a_noemailprehensive Youth Ministry for grades 6th-12th.
B. Work closely with the Senior Pastor and Children's Director in developing a unified plan.
C. Train and work closely with Youth Ministry volunteers.
D. Be available to youth and parents.
E. Be visible at student events and on school campuses whenever possible.
F. Live an exemplary life students would want to model.
G. Help youth catch a vision for growing up spiritually.
