The Worship Arts and Communications Minister, working under the direction of the pastor, is responsible for all aspects of the music, audio, video and lighting associated with each weekly worship service as well as any special services. Planning should be bathed in prayer along with coordinating with others to ensure the worship complements the service theme. Design and coordinate all church related communications in a manner, which timely keeps the congregation and community informed of all matters relevant to them. Some of these tasks, which may be added to or removed as set forth by the pastor and the needs of the church, are more specifically listed as follows:
Coordinate and direct the Worship Team, choir and/or special music by providing scheduled rehearsals, sheet music, listening tracks and other required elements;
Train and schedule all audio/video volunteers to be proficient with the audio, video and lighting equipment to ensure an efficient flow of the service;
Inspect and test all audio, video and lighting equipment for proper functionality prior to each service;
Maintain all church owned instruments;
Manage all appropriate licensing for all songs, transmitted lyrics and livestreaming of songs over the internet;
Maintain a current catalogue of music;
Plan and direct all aspects of Christmas and Easter worship programs;
Maintain, edit and update the church's website, to ensure it remains current and effective as a tool for outreach, connection and ministry;
Utilize all available and appropriate platforms to engage and inform people of information associated with New Hope Baptist;
Coordinate with other staff members regarding your responsibilities;
Adhere to New Hope Baptist's Constitution and Operations Manual, and
Minister to Worship Team and volunteers on a spiritual level to develop their skills as worship leaders and disciples of Jesus.
