Trinity Walla Walla, officially Trinity Baptist Church, is looking for a part time Worship Director. We are a casual and contemporary church that prioritizes the clarity of the Gospel and the preaching of the Word. Our mission statement is "Taking steps together to love God and make him known." Trinity has a rich history in the Walla Walla Valley and has had a long partnership with the Conservative Baptist Association. Our current ministry staff is comprised of four pastors and one director, and our church size is approximately 350 regular attenders.

About Our Next Worship Director

Currently we are seeking a part time, or interim, Worship Director with the hope that this will turn into a full time position in the near future. The Worship Director will work with the Lead Pastor in planning and executing Sunday morning services, but reports directly to the Executive Pastor.

The Worship Director will help shape the culture of musical worship at Trinity and lead in a way that seeks unity among diversity in the church, while leaning towards a younger audience as we look forward to the future of Trinity. Trinity's next Worship Director will also have a heart to invest in, and equip other leaders and musicians as we prioritize the people to whom and with which we minister, over the programs that we run.

The Worship Director's pay rate will be $19.50 per hour for 20 hours a week. Sick leave is accrued at 1 hour per 40 hours worked after the first 90 days of employment. Paid personal leave will be provided at 40 hours per year on an accrual basis. There are seven paid holidays throughout the year as well.

Musical Worship Director Job Description

This position will oversee musical worship at Trinity. This includes the Sunday
morning worship services, but may also include leading in other environments or in
special services/events. This position will participate in all appropriate staff and worship
team meetings, including working with the Lead Pastor in planning worship services.

The Worship Director reports directly to the Executive Pastor, but will work most closely with the Lead Pastor.

HOURS
This position is approximately 20 hours per week, including Sunday mornings.

MINISTRY PURPOSE

The primary purpose of this ministry position is to oversee all worship and musical elements at Trinity.

This will involve:
Serving as the primary worship leader.
Managing the scheduling of musicians and worship leaders for weekend services.
Scheduling and managing band rehearsals and equipment.
Coaching and caring for all worship volunteers.
Identifying, Inviting, and Investing in volunteers and leaders to be a part of the worship ministry.
