Job Description:
The Worship Pastor is responsible for overseeing and developing a worship ministry that engages the congregation in forms of worship that express praise and glory to God. In addition to worship they will responsible for youth ministry team to engage with the youth inside and outside the church. The Worship Pastor will serve as a mentor, shepherd, and support to the leaders and volunteers of these vital ministries
Primary Responsibilities and Tasks of the Worship Pastor
Worship
Recruit, train and encourage and care for the worship ministry teams.
Plan the corporate worship services of LifePoint in consultation with the Lead Pastor and do so with prayer, conceptual forethought, theological accuracy, and musical appropriateness. Ensure that all the musical and technical aspects of the service advance the theme for the day. Oversee song selection, media preparation and presentation, sound and lighting enhancements, and coordination of all instrumentalists, vocalists and sound and media team.
Direct all weekly activities and rehearsals necessary to facilitate worship in services at LifePoint
Introduce our worship teams to worship training provided by other ministries, books, and or conferences.
Plan worship for major seasonal events such as Christmas Eve and Easter.
Oversee the worship department budget,_noemailanization, and volunteers.
Set annual goals for the worship ministry that are in line with our vision and then evaluate how those goals were attained or modified during the year.
Oversee audio/visual technicians. Maintain schedule of techs, training of techs, and_noemailmunication of order of service or special needs for service.
Maintain CCLI licensing including CCLI streaming license, PCO Services & Pro presenter.
Oversee weekly streaming of worship service via Facebook Live
Setup, and schedule music teams for Sunday and special services in PCO
Provide serve application and music team questionnaire to prospective new music team members
Youth
Implement Student Ministry vision in coordination with the Lead Pastor
Organize weekly student gatherings including teaching, small group, opportunities for outreach, and times of connection,
Provide leadership, recruitment, development and mentoring of a Youth Ministry team of volunteers.
Other
Attend and participate in staff meetings.
Attend and participate in a Life Group.
