Job Description:
The Part-time Worship Leader including, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Report directly to lead pastor
Read alongside the Lead pastor as an under-shepherd of Jesus Christ the Chief Shepherd by leading our congregation in worship
General oversight and support of worship ministry, programs, music, promotions, systems, licensing, audio/video upload and storage, property inventory and maintenance.
Maintain responsibility over worship team appearance, sound and delivery.
Recruit, develop, and disciple a community of worship ministry volunteers who attend Encounter Christian Church.
Responsible for scheduling worship team, sound, audio/video, presenter, and ministers on planning center.
Responsible for all communication concerning worship between volunteers, office staff, and leadership.
Prepare, submit and work within an approved annual worship ministry budget.
Participate in weekly staff meetings, monthly lead team meetings and quarterly one on one meetings.
Meet regularly with the Lead Pastor for encouragement, communication, oversight, and service planning.
Select songs and music appropriate for use in the liturgical worship service.
Facilitate an "ALL TEAM" Sunday Pre-service meeting every Sunday at or by 9:30 AM to ensure every team is set.
Meet with the scheduled worship team weekly for rehearsal
Meet Sunday morning to rehears prior to our worship service
Partner with the Lead Pastor to produce Special worship services. (i.e. Passion Week, Good Friday, Easter, Christmas, Outreach, Special Events, etc).
