Position: Part-Time Worship Leader (English Congregation)

Responsibilities
Assume leadership in music/worship ministry in English congregation
Rehearse with and prepare worship teams each week
Identify and train individuals as worship leaders, worship vocalists and instrumentalists
Coordinate with English Pastor in preparation of English worship services
Support other music directors at First Baptist Church of Flushing for all_noemailbined services and events
Provide vision and cooperate with English pastor in the development of the music ministry in the English congregation
Help coordinate worship for special services, including Christmas Eve, Christmas, Good Friday, Easter, and miscellaneous events

First Baptist Church of Flushing is a multiethnic, multicultural, multilingual, and intergenerational family serving in three congregations: Spanish, Chinese and English, all under one church. Our vision is to love God, serve people, nurture Christian believers, and reach the nations with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We are seeking a part-time worship leader (6-8 hrs/week) to join our team and be the point person for worship in the English-speaking congregation. Our worship style is mostly contemporary (think Chris Tomlin, Kari Jobe), but we also appreciate classic hymns of the faith!

Qualifications:

Qualifications
Spiritual passion for knowing God and worshipping Him
Ability to lead authentic and engaging worship
Proficiency in playing a musical instrument, especially guitar and/or piano
Ability to be a team player and work with an intergenerational and diverse team
Prior experience in leading contemporary worship in either a church or other ministry setting
