Worship Leader at Midland Park Christian Reformed Church

MPCRC is seeking a part-time Worship Team Leader to join its staff for 10 hours a week.
Collaborate with pastor and worship coordinator to select congregational songs and any "special" music (i.e., prelude, offering, communion, etc.) for two Sundays per month that the worship team leads worship.
Determine appropriate keys and arrangements of songs.
Schedule and run worship team rehearsals.
Develop the worship team by instructing them and seeking new talent.
Provide musicians and singers with necessary music according to their needs (i.e., chord charts for guitar players, full score music for singers), electronically and in hard copy at rehearsals.
Prepare slide show of lyrics for singers.
Send song lyrics to the person preparing the Sunday church slideshow.
The Worship Team Leader will be accountable to the Pastor and church Admin Board.
Starting salary to be based on qualifications and experience.

Experience in leading vocalists, and musicians.
Sense a calling to serve in this kind of ministry role and ability to clearly articulate that calling to others.
Proficient in playing keyboard/piano or guitar (skill in both instruments a plus!) with the ability to lead while playing.
Ability to nurture other musicians.
Relational skills and an enthusiastic presence for leading worship.
Skilled in the use in the use of sound, computers and visual media in worship.
Respect for all styles and genres of worship music; ability to blend new and older styles.
Commitment to ongoing personal, spiritual and professional growth.
Sense a calling to serve in this kind of ministry role and ability to clearly articulate that calling to others.
