Youth Pastor Position Responsibilities:
Passion for teaching and leading students
Facilitate discipleship of 6th– 12th-grade students into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ
through weekly Bible teaching, events, retreats, and mission trips.
o Teach well-prepared, relevant, biblical messages at weekly Middle and High School
Youth Groups
o Cultivate a fun, hospitable, and safe environment at weekly Youth Groups.
Care for, spend time with, and disciple students from grades 6th through 12th
Develop and sustain a healthy team of Volunteers.
Partner with parents to encourage discipleship that starts at home
Create a welcoming environment that challenges students to grow in their faith, service and
leadership abilities
Actively make an effort to ensure the growth and health of the ministry
Attend staff meetings and participate in planning and implementing church programs that will
fulfill the mission and vision of the church
Plan events that will introduce unreached teenagers.
Be a visionary leader who casts, carries out, and communicates the vision and mission for a
strong and thriving youth ministry.
Establish and monitor annual budget for the youth
Creative Arts Position responsibilities:
Lead dynamic and engaging worship at Sunday morning services and other occasional special
events
Identify, recruit, equip and lead worship team members for Sunday morning worship
Cultivate a heart of worship among the congregation
Lead a rehearsal with the band once per week
Attend staff meetings and participate in planning and implementing church programs that will
fulfill the mission and vision of the church
Lead worship for church events outside of Sunday mornings
Must be proficient with one instrument
Must have a working knowledge of Planning Center, digital soundboard, lighting, video, and
ProPresenter.
