Rice Creek Community Church is seeking a qualified applicant for its now vacant pastoral position. The position is vacant by way of retirement.
About Rice Creek Community Church: The church is a rural Marshall MI at 23906 L Dr. North. The church has been present at this site since the 1850's. In its current iteration it is a non-denominational church and organized as such in 1963. The church currently serves between 25-45 congregants that possesses a great love for one another and is committed to the faithful and evangelical teaching of God's Word.
The Successful Candidate: Will agree with the church's doctrinal statement and will operate in accordance with the church's by-laws. (Both of which can be found at http://ricecreekcommunitychurch.org/). He will regard the church as his flock, shepherding them through the preaching of God's Word, by developing their spiritual gifts, by providing sound counsel, and by performing baptisms, weddings, and funerals as needed. We are seeking a candidate that can meet the qualifications found in 1 Timothy 3;1-7 and Titus 1; 5-9 and preach effectively from both the Old and New Testaments. We seek a leader with strong organizational skills as well as a passion for evangelism, discipleship and teaching. The successful candidate will operate as the leader of the congregation and of the church board in accordance with the church by-laws and continue in his position at the pleasure of the church board.
Remuneration: The salary for the pastorship of Rice Creek Community Church is to be negotiated. The church offers for the use and enjoyment of its serving pastor a parsonage located next to the church.
