Overview
The Creative Ministry Pastor (CMP) oversees the implementation and cohesion of Sunday and special services. The CMP collaborates with the Lead Pastor to ensure services are continually shaping and leading the Branch Church (BC) community to be a people of Love, Word, and Spirit. The CMP leads the service teams to create environments and experiences that are impactful, thoughtful, creative, and meaningful in leading people to meet with, worship, and experience God.
By managing planning, personnel, and production, the CMP ensures clarity of direction, roles, and responsibilities for each service. The CMP is the primary decision maker on matters of service planning, design, and production. Additionally, the CMP oversees BC's graphics, print materials, and branding. The CMP develops and distributes design and print materials for the church and specific ministries.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Lead Pastor to bring BC's vision to life in services through Word-based and Spirit-filled environments and experiences
- Lead the Creative Ministry in implementing a cohesive and impactful experience in every service and oversee the planning and execution of all service elements
- Lead and shape the culture and community of the worship team, including all band and production volunteers
- Oversee the strategic growth and ongoing effectiveness of BC's Creative Ministry
- Manage and develop all worship and production contractors and volunteers
- Develop the service plans and worship sets in collaboration with key personnel
- Oversee all planning and scheduling responsibilities and tools (Planning Center)
- Develop and utilize graphics and materials in support of BC's services and organizational resources and communications
- Provide leadership and support in the Care ministries of Branch Church, including counseling, visitation, and officiating weddings and funerals
- Preach and teach at Sunday services as directed by the Lead Pastor
Qualifications:
- Committed follower of Jesus living a bold and growing faith that points others to Christ
- Passion and love for the local church with a desire to see the body of Christ grow, mature, and fulfill the Great Commission
- Deep and growing knowledge of God's Word and its application to everyday life
- Highly relational and pastoral abilities that spur connection and care
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, equip, and mobilize high-capacity leaders and volunteers
- Effective systems development and management
- Excellent work ethic and organization and execution of priorities and responsibilities
- Experience with the audio and visual technology and programs essential to services
- Basic understanding of music theory and ability to identify musical competence
- Experience in service planning and development of worship sets
- Discernment of people's gifts and abilities
- Demonstrated ability to inspire commitment, engagement, and follow-through
- Creative, clear, and effective communication abilities, both written and verbal
- Ability to effectively engage and teach large groups in a variety of public speaking formats such as preaching, teaching, presentation, and training
- Experience leading worship (preferred, not required)
