Director of Music and Worship Job - Christ the King Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, Minnesota

The Director of Music and Worship Ministry provides direction, leadership, creative influence, and musical and media support for the church. The desired ou_noemailes are:

Maintain and enhance the music experience, thereby deepening our congregation's sense of connection to God and one another in worship services.
Reach people and incorporate them into the life of the church by providing opportunities and encouragement for participation in activities that allow for artistic and musical expression of their Christian Faith.
Provide for orderly and effective worship services by participating in worship planning under the direction of the pastors, and by developing, creating, and/or caring for materials used for worship (worship folders, screens, audio equipment, website, pianos, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS:
Vocal and instrumental expertise (piano or guitar;_noemailan a plus)
Demonstrated understanding of solid Lutheran Theology
Proficient in both traditional Lutheran hymnody and contemporary Christian music
Experience and/or training in leading the ministry of music in a manner that enhances member participation and worshipper experience
Creativity; ability to develop and explain and execute ideas that will build the faith experience of our members through music
Ability to identify talent, encourage members
Computer literate
Knowledge of production (technology, audio, visual,_noemailputer) to support worship
Proven interaction skills to work with a diverse set of people
Weekends are required
