ABOUT CALVARY CHAPEL of DELAWARE COUNTY
Our full name is Calvary Chapel of Delaware County, but since we're getting to know each other, you can call us ccdelco.
Calvary Chapel of Delaware County is located on 24 acres in Chadds Ford, PA just 25 miles southeast of Philadelphia, and sits on the borders of PA, NJ & DE. We are celebrating our 30th anniversary as a church in October and our 14th year in our Chadds Ford Location.
In 2010 we moved into our spacious 35,000-foot facility and quickly began to outgrow it. In 2014 we added a café called "The Table" as well as additional chapels and gathering spaces to bring us to 45,000 SF. In 2018 God called us to open a classical Christian School called Innovate Academy for grades K-8. In 2020 we launched an extension campus in Ardmore, PA which is anchored by a coffee & bookstore called "The Story". All of this is to say that we believe that the best days lie in front of us as we continue to seek God's heart and enjoy our people, staff, and gifting He continues to bring to our fellowship.
ABOUT THE FAMILY PASTOR POSITION:
Calvary Chapel is looking for a Family Pastor who will come alongside the Senior Pastor to care for the congregation, specifically overseeing all aspects of our children and youth along with their families.
This person will execute the vision, direction, and development of people and systems to ignite a Holy Spirit empowered desire in children and youth to love God and to equip them on their journey to become fully devoted followers of Jesus. You will also equip parents and mentors to lead in the spiritual formation of children and youth through spiritual practices of worship, prayer, Bible study, 1-1 and small group mentorship, and service to the community.
-> Oversee all spiritual formation, strategies, and programming for children and youth ministries on Sundays and all designated programs and events throughout the calendar year.
Lead children and youth staff as well as volunteers to execute the vision, plan, and strategy to make disciples through a thriving children and youth ministry.
-> Develop and implement a strategy and process that will include and equip parents to fulfill their primary role as the spiritual leaders of the home.
-> Recruit and place new volunteers and oversee training, scheduling, and staffing to create a dynamic 1-1, small groups, discipleship-oriented culture.
-> Meet regularly with staff and volunteer teams to ensure that benchmarks are being met and to pray and discuss ministry strategies and effectiveness.
-> Generate environments for each age group that promotes encounters with God, spiritual growth and fun.
-> Create and maintain a strategy for reaching and assimilating new families.
-> Coordinate with staff/volunteers in the planning and oversight of calendar events such as VBS, Summer Camps, Holiday Outreaches, Baby Dedications, etc.
-> Manage budget, distribution, and allocation of curriculum, technology, and supplies.
-> Oversee the tailoring, editing, and distributing of curriculum and supplies to volunteers.
-> Execute the process of clear and consistent communication to children, youth, and families as well as the advertising of all children and youth events including marketing, website updating, social media, and print materials.
-> Oversee the strategy of children and youth learning leadership through serving in outreach opportunities with one another and/or with their families.
-> Enforce and update safety policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS| PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
-> Active and growing personal relationship with The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit through action, attitude, and behavior.
-> Experience with direction, administration, and design of Children and Youth Ministries as well as related education or ministry degrees.
-> Experience in recruiting, motivating, equipping, scheduling, and maintaining volunteers.
-> Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal).
-> Ability to understand, relate, and connect well to children, youth, and their families, and a passion to see families experience God and grow in their faith together.
-> Display good character and competency and a love for God, His Word, and the presence of His Holy Spirit.
-> Proficiency with basic computer software (Excel, Word, Publisher), and the capacity to learn new software (Church Community Builder, Pro-Presenter).
-> Mature Christian faith.
-> Positive, humble attitude.
-> Flexible, collaborative, and eager to support others.
-> Energetic, warm, and able to share the love of Jesus with children and their families.
-> Ability to remain neutral, and think critically and objectively.
-> Ability to value and celebrate all Biblical streams of Christianity with Spirit and Word in agreement, regardless of personal theological persuasions.
