Position Summary: The lead pastor will mobilize and equip LCC's congregation to make disciples throughout the region by working with other ministries for effective outreach. He will operate in submission to the elder board while an equal member.
*Accepted God's call into pastoral ministry and meets the biblical qualifications described in 1
Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9
*Belief and personal experience in the current work of the Holy Spirit in individual believers' lives
and in the church, including but not limited to, the manifestations of the spiritual gifts as
described in 1 Corinthians 12 and elsewhere in the Bible
*Exceedingly strong and gifted expository preacher and an engaging presenter, who is authentic
and relatable having a heart for people in rural, small town ministry, including those of diverse
ethnicities and generations
*Capability to lead in a multi-ministry environment utilizing multi-use facilities
*Willingness and desire to lead the transition of the church to an "elder led" church model
*If not a member of LCC, will_noemailplete the membership process within six months of initial
*Demonstration and evidence of problem-solving and conflict management skills
*History of evaluating decisions/actions by their overall impact and long-term implication
*Relational match with elders, pastoral and administrative staff and ministry directors
*Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited Bible college or university is preferred, but not
*Minimum of five years full-time equivalent pastoral experience at the Associate Pastor, Lead
Pastor or equivalent level is preferred
