Job Activities- Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1.Responsible maintenance and upkeep of building and grounds, workorders, and events on campus.
2. Purchasing, with approval, of all levels of facility supplies.
3. Individual will work a flexible schedule. (At times weekends and evenings)
4. At times On call 24/7 to take calls for safety and security concerns.
5. Supervision of subordinate facilities workers.
6. Assist Facilities Director in setting work schedules and work assignments.
7. Verification of campus ops standards.
8. Verify setups are complete and ready for events.
9. If necessary assist facility workers in completing their tasks.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Desired:
1. Ability to foster a cooperative environment.
2. Knowledge of supplies, equipment and/or services ordering and inventory control.
3. Ability to accept and oversee directives from Facility Manager.
4. Working knowledge of custodial practices, machinery and related equipment.
5. Ability to lead and train staff and/or students.
6. Ability to follow/enforce use of safety standards.
7. Ability to follow/enforce set standards of cleaning.
8. Good written and verbal communication.
9. Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.
10. Ability to use power and hand tools applicable to trade.
Distinguishing Characteristics:
Position requires: a) Supervising the work of subordinate employees to include assigning tasks and monitoring employee performance; b) Oversee that adequate supplies for the daily needs of facility staff are ordered, received and organized.
Minimum Job Requirements:
High school diploma with two years' experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified.
