Job Description:
MINISTRY ASSISTANT FOR CONNECTION: Retirement community church seeks pastoral assistant to engage the congregation in meaningful ministry; and to plan and implement a welcome process that will connect, track, engage, and assimilate visitors into the church.
Sundays, Mondays, and some Saturdays are required. Other hours somewhat flexible to support activities at various times of day..
Although insurance and retirement benefits are not included, a stipend of $500 per month is provided for purchasing insurance. Job includes PTO, paid holidays.
Responsibilities
Engage parishioners in meaningful ministry opportunities through invitation and relationships. Plan and implement a welcome process for newcomers that will help them connect, engage, and find a place within the church community. Plan must include tracking from first visit through successful involvement. Recruit and oversee volunteers and build a volunteer database.

We are a vibrant retirement church in a vibrant retirement community. Our average age is just north of 80, and we are seeking to lower that by reaching out to the many baby boomers now moving in to our community (ages 55-65)
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or public relations is required. Organized, proactive self starter with skills in project planning, workflow management, and multi tasking. Exceptional relational and hospitality skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills, proficient in project planning, workflow management, and multi tasking. Ability to develop and maintain strong relational connections with visitors, parishioners and staff. Ability to recruit, train, supervise volunteers. Digital literacy and advanced computer skills. Experience with church or non profit essential.
