Job Description:
Crosstimbers Community Church, located in SE Kansas, is seeking a Senior Pastor for its congregation to advocate and communicate God's vision of the church and outreach programs. This person will be the primary leader, teacher, and visionary and will have responsibility for the spiritual welfare, growth, and life of the church.
The pastor will work to ensure the health and stability of the church and provide organizational direction and administrative oversight to the church board, staff, and ministry leaders. The pastor will act as a spiritual shepherd to the people through various ministries of the church, including a thriving food pantry that is a vital part of our community.
The church has purchased nearly one city block in Edna, KS for the future home of a Community Center. This Center will house the food pantry and warehouse, a full kitchen, and meeting area.

About Crosstimbers Community Church:
Crosstimbers Community Church is affiliated with the Assemblies of God and has been a part of the Edna community for 86 years. The church sits on a corner lot across the alley from a three bedroom, two-bath parsonage. The sanctuary will seat approximately 80 people and the attached fellowship hall contains a large open area, (which is used for church dinners, adult Sunday School class, food pantry, and special events), four classrooms, a kitchen, and two restrooms. There are currently 20 members. Our main outreach ministry, the church's food pantry, serves the lower half of Labette County with food boxes and commodities once a month. The church maintains its own website at www.ednacrosstimbers.com. We also have two Facebook pages. One to promote the church @crosstimbers and the other for the food pantry @crosstimbersfoodpantry.
Job Qualifications:
It is expected that this person will exhibit the gifts of faith, leadership, exhortation, teaching, shepherding, and discernment. Above all else, the pastor is a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and is His representative to the Church and to the world. It is expected that this person will exhibit a mature and outgoing faith in Jesus Christ and is an effective preacher who has a mastery of the Word of God.
* Must be a member in good standing with the General Council or the KS District Council of the Assemblies of God.
* Must be licensed and ordained with the Assemblies of God or be willing to obtain credentials.
* Senior pastoral experience preferred with a record of successfully being used by God to grow a church or ministry.
* Walks in the Gifts of the Spirit and allows for the movement of the Holy Spirit in all areas of life and ministry.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, social media, and collaboration software (i.e. Dropbox, Google, and ProPresenter) are desired.
* Must be a member in good standing with the General Council or the KS District Council of the Assemblies of God.
