POSITION PURPOSE
To provide administrative support to the Student Ministries department, preparation and coordination for events (Sunday AM & PM Gatherings, mid-week events and summer camps), and management of communication to families and ministry volunteers.
ESSENTIAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative coordination of all ministry events and activities
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent ability to multitask; managing multiple projects with varying deadlines and milestones
Utilization of Planning Center software for communications, event registration, attendance and database management
Calendar management and Facility scheduling for all events and activities
Submission of all necessary marketing materials to Communications department;
Materials preparation: name tags, rosters, handouts, other as needed
General planning support under the direction of department pastors
Social media communications
Procurement of special materials
Help with event setup/teardown
Resourcing volunteers as needed
Occasional Coordinator pool responsibilities outside of assigned department (all-church events, wedding/memorial coordination, etc.)
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent applicable experience
Track record of exceptional communications skills
Excellent team building through effective collaboration and communication with other individuals and work groups
Excellent relational, interpersonal, problem-solving and rapport-building skills
Excellent self-management skills; able to work with a team or work independently depending on the need
Proficient with the Apple/Mac operating system and application suite (Pages, Numbers, Keynote, Mail, Safari, Contacts, Calendar) and the Google Enterprise Suite
Adapts effectively to changing priorities and performs effectively in pressure situations
PHYSICAL/MENTAL ABILITIES
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task working with multiple projects, ministry teams and people at one time
