Job Description:
Crosswalk Church is seeking a visionary young leader to inspire and equip the next generation of Jesus followers at Crosswalk Church to cultivate a vibrant faith by journeying with Jesus, growing deep friendships and making disciples among our young population (Matt. 28:18-19). They will partner with parents and youth leaders to build a culturally diverse, gospel-centered, and missionally active group of young Jesus followers at Crosswalk Church by teaching them the way of Jesus.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide visionary and pastoral leadership to Crosswalk Church's junior and senior youth ministry, encouraging spiritual growth and challenging commitment to Christ and His mission.
Identify, train, and support leadership team and junior leadership mentorship program, and provide individualized support, nurturing of gifts, and one-to-one mentoring.
Plan and coordinate youth events, including service and summer events, missions' trips, Sunday morning gatherings, and Wednesday night youth meetings.
Prepare students to articulate and defend their faith in Jesus Christ and partner with parents to maintain healthy relationships with parents and youth.
Oversee curriculum coordination and/or development, and facilitate incorporation of youth into roles within Crosswalk church to help them thrive.
Equip youth to be faithful to God and his purpose for their lives, connect with other church ministries, and explore career choices.
Remain a continuing presence in the lives of students after high school and stay updated on their progress in college or career.
Exemplify and model Crosswalk Church's vision and process to youth and leaders, and develop connections with Sunnyvale Christian School and children's ministry leaders.
Attend all worship services and staff meetings, ready to preach when appropriate or called upon, and coordinate fundraising opportunities.

Job Qualifications:
A fully devoted follower of Jesus with a deep understanding of the Bible coupled with a love of teaching the Word with a growing relationship with Jesus.
A commitment to the vision, process, and core values of Crosswalk Church
Highly organized, administrative, and dependable
Holds a University / College / Seminary degree or its equivalent in theological studies and/or youth ministry.
Have experience working in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Has experience in youth ministry or a related field and is readily equipped to lead young people
Articulates and lives a Gospel-centered, missional life and invites youth to follow their example
Has the ability to equip, and disciple youth and help them live out their faith, publicly
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and savvy with social media platforms
Open to be taught and welcomes constructive feedback as part of a team of leaders
