The duties of the Pastor shall be:

To lead and oversee the spiritual well-being of the church.

To preside over services of public worship and administer the Church Ordinances: The Lord's Supper and Baptism.

To conduct funeral services, wedding ceremonies, and baby dedications.

To provide Christian counseling commensurate with the education, professional training, and credentials he/she has attained.

To lead the church in social justice, speaking truth to power, social action, and connecting our church with reputable civic, political, and community organizations.

To provide administrative leadership to effectively guide the church in the attainment of its mission and vision.

To act as a moderator of church business meetings, as deemed necessary.

Effective written and oral communication skills with demonstrated experience in planning, teaching, and conducting worship services.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a congregation across all ages and genders.

Effective leadership ability in developing programs designated to integrate the participation of children, youth, young adults, and seniors.

Preferred five years' experience as an Ordained Pastor (i.e., Co-Pastor; Assistant Pastor; Youth Pastor).

Must be a licensed and Ordained Minister of the gospel.

Undergraduate Degree (Preferred).
