Job Description:

Hope International Baptist Church of Portland, Oregon, is searching for a full-time Pastor. Hope is a Southern Baptist church (Northwest Baptist Convention) that ministers to 200-plus members on two campuses from multiple language backgrounds. The Pastor will minister in English but_noemailpetence in a second language is also desirable. Hope is approximately 60 percent international with a large number having arrived in America as refugees. At the same time, we are primarily an English-speaking church. You may hear someone pray in another language during the offering or a song may be done in multiple languages, but English is used in both the sermon and most Bible Studies. We do have Bible Studies in other languages when we have someone able to lead in that language. Hope is searching for a Pastor who is multicultural in heart and vision. Preaching and teaching abilities—Bible expositor, discipler
Good administrative skills
Visionary, organizational, and leadership skills
Solid financial track record regarding personal/family finances as well as church/ministry
finances
